         Real-Time Virtual Workshop in Japanese Standard Time

The 2021 International Workshop on Smart Info-Media System in Asia
(SISA 2021) will be held as a real-time virtual workshop in Japanese
Standard Time. The SISA 2021 presents every possibility on new
information technologies and its smart systems.

The SISA 2021 is aiming at promoting young researchers in the fields
of multimedia system and wireless communications. We plan to organize
short oral presentations with poster discussion for regular sessions
as well as a keynote talk and special sessions. The topics in SISA
2021 include the following but not limited to:

Due to the COVID-19 worldwide outbreak,
SISA 2021 will be held as a real-time virtual workshop.

Keynote Speech
==============

We will have a keynote speech entitled
"Discrete Signal Detection via Compressed Sensing Technique,"
by Prof. Kazunori Hayashi, Kyoto University, Japan.

Registration Fee
================

The regular registration fee is JPY 7,000, and students can attend the
workshop FREE. We hope many researchers join this workshop and discuss
the latest topics.

IEICE Proceedings Series
========================

All papers presented in SISA 2021 will be sent to [IEICE Proceedings
Series](https://www.ieice.org/publications/proceedings/), and a
limited number of papers selected by the SISA 2021 TPC will be
published as open access papers.

Special Section on IEICE Trans. Fundamentals
============================================

We plan to publish a special section on IEICE Trans. Fundamentals in
November 2022. The objective of the special section is to review and
promote recent progress in these research fields. The special section
solicits paper submission particularly from, but not restricted to,
researchers who presented their original works in SISA 2021.
